There are so many wonderful things about being a photographer. I have met the most adorable people, been invited to document the most precious moments, and enjoyed laughing with the young and old! The most thrilling part, however, is capturing the beauty of life at all of its stages for endless generations. It amazes me how a photograph can evoke feeling, memories, and a lifetime of stories for grandchildren.

It is my desire to capture the uniqueness and beauty of all of my clients. I want the camera and the photographer to disappear into the background, so that I can capture the true essence of the individual, the integrity of the moment, and the emotion that we never want to forget. Hopefully, as clients flip through their albums or glance at photographs on the wall, the awareness of how beautiful they are will lighten their steps just a little. I am so thankful that so many of you invite me to celebrate life with you as you live, laugh, love, and dream…

Von Lanken video for my anniversary!

Eleven years ago today, I married the love of my life!!! Today he surprised me with the best gift EVER!!

A little over a year ago the famous Von Lanken’s visited us from Oklahoma to film our family. They schemed with Creighton to surprise me on our anniversary….

I woke up this morning wondering why I had to be somewhere at 10am sharp. Saturdays are lazy days until time to shoot a wedding! But, my curiosity woke me up and we hopped in the car and headed to Shreveport.

When we pulled up to the Robinson Film Center, I thought maybe we were there to see “our” movie. The theater was empty except for our little family. And suddenly, the lights were dimmed and my children appeared on screen….tears and smiles overwhelmed me….

Kelly Cathey Photography Photobooth is a HIT at every event!

One of my FAVORITE things about the photobooth is hearing the laughter coming from behind the curtain. I LOVE it!!! We have just built another photobooth and you guys are keeping us hopping with FUN, FUN, events!!!

We are forever adding new features to the photobooth, so be sure to check out all the NEW STUFF we have going on!!

For Katie’s wedding, we tried out one of our new backdrops. I totally love it!

We caught up with them again at Burn Camp in Texas! Lovin’ this family….

At weddings, the guests TRULY embraced the spirit of the photobooth!! ;)

Kinda surprised when I saw a puppy in the photobooth! Whoever’s idea this one was…. BRILLIANT! ;)

Occasionally, I get to set up the photobooth with Creighton, so HELLO PHOTOBOOTH!!! I never miss a chance to take a pic with my kiddos!!

SNOW…in Louisiana!!!

SNOW DAY!!! All it takes is just one day of snow to thrill our socks off!!!!! Seriously, though, I didn’t realize how unprepared we are for cold weather!! Neither of my kids had gloves that fit them!!! Thanks to the super fabulous neighbors, my kids fingers stayed warm!! They also pulled the kids on sleds with their Rhino….really need to put a Rhino on my wish list…..maybe by the next time it snows….that should give me about 10 years to get one!! :)

Cody’s FIRST SNOW BALL!! Technically, it was Kaleigh’s first snow ball, too, but the snow angel is what thrilled her!!
