There are so many wonderful things about being a photographer. I have met the most adorable people, been invited to document the most precious moments, and enjoyed laughing with the young and old! The most thrilling part, however, is capturing the beauty of life at all of its stages for endless generations. It amazes me how a photograph can evoke feeling, memories, and a lifetime of stories for grandchildren.

It is my desire to capture the uniqueness and beauty of all of my clients. I want the camera and the photographer to disappear into the background, so that I can capture the true essence of the individual, the integrity of the moment, and the emotion that we never want to forget. Hopefully, as clients flip through their albums or glance at photographs on the wall, the awareness of how beautiful they are will lighten their steps just a little. I am so thankful that so many of you invite me to celebrate life with you as you live, laugh, love, and dream…

There are so many reasons why I love this couple. :) I am so thankful that God sends me the sweet bride and grooms!! AND their reception site will blow your minds….. (like me, you will have to wait to see that stylish event)….

Lauren wanted some vintage looking pics, so we headed out in pursuit of something a little old, a little dirty….

It was almost lights out when the little man arrived, so we got this adorable shot…. LOVE it. I wish I had this of my little kids…. you know, I am sucker for family pics!!! LOL

Von Lanken video for my anniversary!

Eleven years ago today, I married the love of my life!!! Today he surprised me with the best gift EVER!!

A little over a year ago the famous Von Lanken’s visited us from Oklahoma to film our family. They schemed with Creighton to surprise me on our anniversary….

I woke up this morning wondering why I had to be somewhere at 10am sharp. Saturdays are lazy days until time to shoot a wedding! But, my curiosity woke me up and we hopped in the car and headed to Shreveport.

When we pulled up to the Robinson Film Center, I thought maybe we were there to see “our” movie. The theater was empty except for our little family. And suddenly, the lights were dimmed and my children appeared on screen….tears and smiles overwhelmed me….
