on the way to the reception

Wedding days are VERY organized.  You know how it is.  You spend a hours, weeks, months,  years …..planning, designing, matching, researching, creating for THIS moment….your masterpiece.  Katie’s wedding was no different.  The day was perfectly orchestrated, everything running smoothly and calmly.  She was soaking in every minute.

But in Katie’s timeline, she snuck a few minutes in for pictures of just the two  of them.

On the way to the reception, we jumped out and shot a few images on Front Street in Natchitoches, Louisiana.    I love that they had a moment for just the two of them.  :)

peek at blog for tomorrow….

The thing about shooting a wedding is that every moment is a priceless memory….

I’m currently working on Katie’s wedding.  I’ll be blogging more Friday…..

The ceremony and reception was at the Scottish Rite Temple in Shreveport, Louisiana.  It is easily one of the most beautiful places in Shreveport to be married.  Of course, there are several beautiful places…don’t worry, I’m keeping a list in case you need some ideas!!  :)

Add that fabulous atmosphere with a beautiful bride in love with her sweet hubby…. it’s perfection.

They were so sweet to let me take several shots of them after the ceremony and even toward the end of the reception (blogged in earlier post). This one ended up being one of my faves because of the emotion….

This is a shot of them where they were married….

Sparkle Barbie and Ken! ;)

Ok, so, obviously they are not Ken and Barbie, but I think they should consider changing their names… just kidding!  ;)  Krystal and Kevin’s wedding was picture perfect!  I was SO EXCITED that they decided to see one another before the ceremony so we could get several shots of them….ahhhhh, SO FUN!!  ;)

Their wedding and reception were at the Barnwell Center in downtown Shreveport.  My first wedding there… I totally LOVED it!  ;)

Amanda and Brennan!

Amanda and Brennan’s wedding was breathtakingly perfect….

Her Kate Spade shoes need to be relocated to my closet!  ;)

her dress was modern elegance…she was gorgeous in it!

Her dad’s reaction to his youngest daughter on her wedding day was so moving.

i really liked her shoes… oh, I said that already… :)

For the ceremony, Amanda wore a beautiful, long veil.  For the reception, she wore a fun feather!

before the ceremony….

It’s always hard for me to narrow down what pics to put on the blog!!!  So, I usually only end up putting one or two of the ceremony.  It was beautiful!!

The party started immediately following the ceremony!  They arrived at the reception in a trolley (wish I could blog all those fun pics, but you will have to ask the newlyweds their password to see those, I guess!)  The video CRACKS me up at this part!  The wedding party burst out in song and dance; it ended like this:

The reception was at Eastridge Country Club…and no one wanted to leave!!  Seriously.  They announced it several times and the guests just didn’t want to leave.  Talk about a FUN RECEPTION!!  :)  Here’s a little of WHY they didn’t want to leave:

The photobooth, of course, was in full swing even before the bride and groom arrived!!  :)  They had a scrapbook and some scrapbook materials set out for the guests to scrapbook their photobooth pictures.  The book ended up being SO CUTE!!  I’m so glad they have that keepsake!!!

The ever-popular band WINDSTORM kept the energy soaring!

If you have never seen WINDSTORM, you need to!!

During the evening, the groom announced that his groomsmen lost a bet…..don’t know what the bet was… but the consequences of losing was to sing I’m a Little Tea Pot on stage at the reception.  FUN!

And, girls, I have NEVER seen such EAGER men to catch the garter!!

I fell in love with this family at Amanda’s sister’s wedding ( Ashley and Stephen), and I remembered why I loved them so much during Amanda’s engagement and wedding.  You all have become so special to us!  I wish you TONS of happiness and fabulous adventures together!!!!  Thank you so much for trusting us again to capture the memories of such a precious time in your lives.  We love you!
